One snowy day
This has been the snowiest winter in Helsinki since the early 1980's. It was also cold and Eläintarhanlahti (Eläintarha bay) froze over. Since it's only a 10 minutes walk from us, and since it's not illegal to allow Tara to run on ice, she got plenty of exercise. Shame the weather wasn't always postcard-like...
After a good run she made it very, very clear she wants to go home. Right. Now.
Here's the reason why: a 100% wool blanket and a warm radiator.

Oh wow! Is she not allowed to run in other places? I'll bet she was more than ready to sleep after that -- mine would have been! She's beautiful! I wish you had a video of her running!
It's illegal here to keep a dog off-leash in public parks. There are several dog parks but they're quite small and crowded, and Tara needs way more space for a good run. Usually we visit the dog forest (owned by the City of Helsinki, about 130 acres / 50 hectares of forest & fields), but when the bays freeze over we don't have to travel for exercise :-)
Great photos! I love her winter coat. She looks absolutely dead to the world on her blanket.
who doesn't enjoy the apres ski?
i love that she has a photo of herself there. quelle diva.
